Recognition of the Moroccan Baccalaureate for Spanish consulates
Moroccan students wishing to pursue university studies in Spain need to have their Moroccan Baccalaureate recognized through the Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Training's portal — a step separate from the visa application itself, but essential for university enrolment.
Required documents and steps
- Open an account and fill in the form on the Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Training's portal
- Copy of the national ID card or passport
- Baccalaureate diploma + Apostille + sworn translation
- Baccalaureate exam transcript + Apostille + sworn translation
- High-school years transcript + Apostille + sworn translation
- Proof of payment of the file fee, set at €49.76, paid into the Spanish Ministry of Education's account (amount subject to change; verify before making the transfer)

Submitting the file at the consulate
The file is submitted at the Spanish consulate in Tangier from Monday to Thursday, 8am to 12pm, with no appointment needed.
The receipt stamped by the Spanish consulate in Tangier allows the student to complete pre-enrolment for the academic year, while awaiting the recognition certificate to be sent to the student's account on the Spanish Ministry of Education's portal.
About translation and legalization
The applicant must use a sworn translator in Tangier, approved by the courts, to translate their documents into Spanish, before submitting them as part of an Apostille file at any court of first instance in the Kingdom, together with the Apostille request.
