Replacing a student card with a residence and work permit in Spain
After completing their studies in Spain, foreign students, including Moroccans, are entitled to request that their student residence card be replaced with a residence and work permit, allowing them to settle professionally in Spain without having to return to their home country.
Main requirements
- Having successfully completed the studies for which residence was authorized (qualification obtained)
- Having a job offer or employment contract related to the training completed
- Having no criminal record in Spain
- Filing the request within the legal deadlines, before or after the student card expires
Generally required documents
Copy of a valid passport, certificate of completion of studies, signed employment contract or job offer, criminal record certificate from the home country (apostilled and translated), plus proof of means of support and health coverage.
